About Emma

Emma Michelle Ary is a painter based in Austin, Texas. Influenced by natural landscapes and inspired by her faith, Emma's work blends rich colors, impressionist brushwork and captivating imagery on every canvas.

Emma's work invites viewers to return to childhood wonder and youth-like creativity. In the same way a child admiringly mimics the activities of their parents, Emma paints natural landscapes in admiration and hope to create in the steps of her Heavenly Father - the master of creativity and the ultimate caretaker. Apart from landscapes, Emma draws inspiration from both scripture and prayer, allowing the act of painting to become a time of peaceful meditation.

Emma earned her B.F.A in Studio Art with a minor in Arts Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. With a concentration in painting and printmaking, Emma’s work has been featured in exhibitions at the Visual Arts Center; Austin, TX, 19zero3; Siena, Italy, and The University of Texas at Austin Halls and Walls Gallery; Austin, TX.
